Overview
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. By acting on the receptor for this naturally occurring gut hormone, it can help slow gastric emptying, reduce appetite, and support blood-sugar regulation. When prescribed by your clinician, it is used to support weight management together with reduced-calorie eating and increased physical activity.
